The Mopra Telescope is located near the small town of Coonabarabran, about 450 km north-west of Sydney, Australia. It is a 22-metre single-dish radio telescope.
Mopra Observatory is operated by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) as part of the Australia Telescope National Facility (ATNF). Other telescopes in the ATNF include the Australia Telescope Compact Array, the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder and the Parkes radio telescope.
