This fish-eye view shows the sky above the
Very Large Telescope (VLT) in the Atacama Desert of Chile. The image is normally visible 24/7. At night you can see planets, stars, constellations and the Magellanic Clouds. You may also see lasers used for
optical image adaptation.
Note: Due to the way this image is created from a panorama, there is some distortion, especially around the zenith (directly overhead).
