Summary: A United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket launched the GOES-T mission on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 9:38 PM (UTC).
GOES-T is part of the GOES-R series of weather satellites operated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This satellite has been delayed by a number of years following a problem with the original design that required a rebuild. The satellite should become operational a couple of weeks after launch, and has a planned lifespan of at least 15 years.
