Summary: A SpaceX Starship rocket launched the Starship Orbital Flight 1 (Starship Flight 14) mission on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 12:48 PM (UTC).

With the ability to carry over 100 metric tonnes to Earth orbit, Starship will be the world’s most powerful launch vehicle. During this test mission, the booster stage will separate at 170 seconds into the flight and land in the Gulf of Mexico approximately 30 km (20 miles) from the shore. Starship will continue to orbit and land 100km (60 miles) off the northwest coast of Kauai.
